FitnessRepairParts.com Gives the "Green" Light
Solar panels installed at FRP's headquarters in Wentzville, MO.
Wentzville, MO, April 30, 2014: FitnessRepairParts.com has announced their plans to "go green," and are currently utilizing solar panels on the roof of their headquarters and warehouse buildings. A 38,250-watt system made up of 153 sharp, 250-watt panels has been installed on approximately 2800 square feet of roof area, and was activated on April 24th. 2014.
Preferring to keep footprints on the fitness equipment they repair, the carbon footprints displayed from FitnessRepairParts.com will be drastically smaller. By harvesting an infinite supply of energy from the sun, the savings from installing the solar panels will be immediate, and projected yearly stats show that electricity consumed by the business is estimated to decline by 68%. In terms of the environment, this means that per year, there will be 29 tons less of coal burnt, with 83 tons less of carbon dioxide output.
"Solar technology seems to have matured and installation costs have decreased enough that effective solar can be done at a reasonable price," stated Jeremy Jacobs, FRP Chief Technology Officer.
